On-Site Catering

Catering at venues with no kitchen

On-site catering in Los Angeles for estates, backyards, galleries, warehouses and open-air venues that have no commercial kitchen. We bring the equipment, finish or cook the food on site, and serve it.

We bring the kitchen

Cooked and served where you are

Many of the best places to hold an event in Los Angeles were never built for food service. A Palos Verdes estate, a converted warehouse in Gardena, a gallery on the Westside or a tented lawn in Malibu might have no kitchen at all. Our on-site catering in Los Angeles brings one. We set up a working field kitchen with holding cabinets, grills or induction burners, hand-wash stations and prep tables, then cook or finish the food a few steps from your guests.

Every site is different, so planning starts with questions. Where can trucks park and unload, and for how long? Is there power, and how much? Is water close by, and where does gray water go? Are open flames allowed? Once we know, we design the menu around what the site can support. Food that is seared, grilled or plated on site tastes better than food that has ridden across town in a box.

On site

What we bring and run

Field kitchens

Prep tables, holding cabinets, induction burners and grills set up behind the scenes, sized to the menu and the number of guests. Everything is packed out again when the event ends.

Power & water planning

We check outlets, plan for generators where the site has none, and bring hand-wash stations and water so food handling stays clean far from a sink.

Estates & private homes

Plated dinners and food stations at private homes across the Peninsula and the Westside, set up in a garage, side yard or service area. See Rancho Palos Verdes catering.

Raw & industrial venues

Warehouses, studios, lofts and galleries with no kitchen, where we build the back of house from the ground up and break it all down again at the end of the night.

Grilling & live stations

Chef-attended grills, carving boards and taco stations cooked in front of guests, which turns the food into part of the event. See BBQ catering for grilled menus.

Job sites & yards

Hot lunches served on site for construction, warehouse and maintenance crews, set up near the work so breaks stay short. See boxed meals for walkaway options.

How it works

From first call to cleanup

1

Tell us the date and headcount

Call, text or send the quote form with where the event is and how many people you are feeding.

2

We send a menu and a quote

You get a menu built around your guests and timing, with the full cost in the quote. Change anything.

3

We deliver, set up and clean up

The food arrives on time, labeled and set out. Full-service events include staff and cleanup.

Site first, menu second

We plan around what the venue has

Parking, power, water and flame rules shape the menu. We ask first so the food works on the day.

“Eric (the owner) has been on top of his game and consistently delivering catered meals to our office. He always warns me when LA traffic has his drivers bogged down but they somehow always arrive on-time for our clients. … We order around 230 meals a week and he’s always delivered.”

On-Site Catering FAQ

Common questions

Is this the same as film set catering?

No. On-site catering covers venues, homes and sites without a kitchen. For production meals see film and TV catering.

What if the venue has no power?

We plan around it, using generators where the venue allows them and equipment that holds food safely without constant power.

Do you need a site visit?

For larger or unusual venues we prefer one. For simpler sites, photos and the venue rules are usually enough.

Which parts of Los Angeles do you cater?

We cater across four regions of LA County: the South Bay, the Palos Verdes Peninsula, the Westside and coast, and South Los Angeles. Every community we cover is listed on our service areas page.

Do you provide staff, setup and equipment?

Yes. Drop-off orders arrive set up and labeled. Full-service events add uniformed staff, chafing and serving equipment, help coordinating rentals, and cleanup after the last guest eats.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Yes. Any menu can be adjusted for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy-conscious guests, with each item labeled. See vegan and special diets catering.
